Also known as Fisherman’s Mitts. These mittens are lined with fleece for extraordinary warmth. Using exotic fibres such as kid mohair, angora/wool mix, alpaca/silk, etc. results in a luxuriously soft mitten that you won’t want to take your hands out of. This pattern is based on the free version we offered for many years, but it has been completely re-written for better clarity. No more guesswork on where to insert fleece on decrease rows!

Perfect Socks
Perfect socks are so named because they fit me perfectly. They are just like a commercially made sock in look and fit. I had never liked making socks because I always knit the more common heel with gussets. These never fit me at all, bunching around the ankles. When I discovered this version of turning the heel I changed my opinion on knitting socks! I hope you will enjoy this pattern as much as I do!
100 grams of sock yarn. These were originally knit with Lang Jawoll (49% wool, 35% cotton, 16% polyamide) Yarn but any sock yarn (fingering to sport weight) that gives the correct gauge will do. Lang Jawoll has 1926 yards per lb.
