Free Patterns
Trembling Prairie has a long tradition of providing free knitting patterns. Since 1996, we have provided the patterns on our website free for anyone to use. During that time there has been a few incidents of misuse brought to our attention. In order to try and reduce misuse, and reduce the number of webpages in our site, we are switching from online patterns to downloadable PDF patterns. Our Almost Free patterns will now carry a nominal fee designed to prevent misuse.
This has it's positive and negative sides. On the plus side it will now be easier for users to print the pattern for easy reference; and we will be able to keep track of who is downloading the pattern. On the down side, links to individual pattern pages are no longer valid; and users will need to have Adobe Acrobat installed to view the patterns.

Please Note: The quality of the file and knitting instructions for the free patterns are not to the same standards as our purchased patterns. While we want people to use and enjoy these free patterns, we have purposely made it more difficult to get a high quality print out.
Almost Free Patterns
These patterns are available for download from Lulu for the nominal charge of $1.50. As with our free and regular patterns, these are in PDF format. The Almost Free patterns are produced to the same standards as our regular purchased patterns.
